2022 Open Championship odds, projections: Proven golf model reveals surprising picks, best bets for St. Andrews

The fourth and final major of the year gets underway on Thursday, July 14, when the 2022 Open Championship tees off from the Old Course at St. Andrews in Scotland. Rory McIlroy, the 2014 champion, is the 9-1 favorite in the 2022 Open Championship odds at Caesars Sportsbook, followed by Jon Rahm (14-1), Xander Schauffele (14-1), Scottie Scheffler (16-1) and Jordan Spieth (18-1). Tiger Woods, a 15-time major champion, is 60-1.'

We simulated the 2022 Open Championship 10,000 times, and there are some MAJOR surprises.

Our proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been RED-HOT since the PGA Tour resumed in June of 2020. In fact, the model is up over $10,600 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.
