Winnipeg Jets vs. Minnesota Wild Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 4-11-2023

The Winnipeg Jets face the Minnesota Wild with both teams looking to wrap up great seasons on a high note. The Jets have a 45-32-3 record and are looking to secure the final wild card spot in the Western Conference while the Wild have a 46-24-10 record and are in third place in the Central Division. Both teams look to end the season in the win column and prepare for deep playoff runs and the upcoming game should be a great one as a result.

The Jets are having a great season despite their offense struggling, scoring only 2.97 goals per game with only 2.57 goals per game since March. Kyle Connor, Pierre-Luc Dubois, and Mark Scheifele have scored 86 goals and 130 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has struggled. Only seven skaters have 10 goals or more this season and opponents can limit the top-heavy offense as a result.

The offense has struggled but the defense has carried the Jets this season, allowing only 2.75 goals per game. Josh Morrissey and Nate Schmidt have combined for 9.0 defensive point shares and 200 blocked shots while Neal Pionk, Brenden Dillon, and Dylan DeMelo have combined for 12.2 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. In addition, goaltender Connor Hellebuyck has been great with a .919 save percentage and a 2.53 goals-against average on 1909 shots with 29.0 goals saved a bove average.
