The Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl last year.
Matthew Stafford and the Rams defeated Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI, 23-20, at SoFi Stadium. It was the Rams’ second Super Bowl win; they also won Super Bowl XXXIV, beating the Tennessee Titans.
It was the 16th NFL season without a back-to-back Super Bowl champion. And with the Rams’ failure to make the 2022-23 NFL playoffs, there won’t be a back-to-back champion again this season.
One year after the Rams’ win, the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs are vying for the Lombardi Trophy.
