Week 11 weeknight college football best bets

Who doesn’t love November midweek MACtion? I say every week, and will continue to pound the drum that getting college football 5 days a week this month is something we should all give thanks for at the Thanksgiving dinner table. Is it the best quality of football? No. But, it’s kind of a beautiful disaster in some respects and the unpredictability of it makes it so fun to watch – though, harder to bet. Nonetheless, there are units to wager and bets to cash, so let’s see what my T Shoe Index says are the best value bets of the Wednesday – Friday slate.

Bowling Green (-10) vs Kent State, O/U 40 – Wednesday night

*Eminem voice* GUESS WHO’S BACK? Death, taxes, and the Bowling Green Falcons being a best bet. Yes, I know we lost betting them last week after they failed to punch in a first and goal for a touchdown that would’ve sealed the cover, but that failed cover probably has kept this week’s line from getting too inflated. TSI projects BG as 18.5-point favorites here, and at this point in the season you have to really factor in motivation. Bowling Green has five wins, so they are looking to secure bowl eligibility this week, while Kent State has no hope of making a bowl, currently sitting at 1-8. I won’t overcomplicate this handicap; this is the worst team in CFB with no hope of bowl eligibility playing against a team that TSI indicates has been undervalued all year who is playing for bowl eligibility.

Pick: Bowling Green -10 (Play to -12.5)

UNLV (-5.5) vs Wyoming, O/U 50 – Friday night
