The Vegas Golden Knights started the post All-Star break portion of the season on the right foot as they defeated the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday, 3-1. That snapped the Oilers 16 game winning streak and gave the Golden Knights a 7-0-1 record over their last eight contests. Vegas is 11-10-4 on the road.

Adin Hill was impressive in this game, stopping 30 shots. Logan Thompson (16-10-4, 2.77, .906) will likely get the start in this contest, and he has struggled of late, giving up 10 total goals over his last two outings. Vegas is seventh in goals-against average (2.71).

This game was tied at one after two periods, but the Golden Knights scored twice in the third to earn the victory. Chandler Stevenson scored the go-ahead goal and William Karlsson added an insurance tally to provide the margin of victory. Nick Roy had the other goal and now has nine points over his last five games. He had just 18 points in his first 37 games. The Golden Knights are 13th in goals per game (3.18).
