Tulsa at USF Prediction – Basketball Picks 3/1/23

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane will head to Tampa to take on the South Florida Bulls in AAC action from the Yuengling Center on ESPN+. Tulsa leads the head-to-head series, 12-1, but USF did win for the first time less than two weeks ago in Oklahoma.

Tulsa dropped to 5-23 following a road loss to UCF. The Golden Hurricane scored a season-low 14 first half points, and ended up falling to the Knights by nineteen, 68-49. Tulsa is scoring 65.7 points per game, while allowing 77.5 ppg, and shooting 41.5% from the floor.

Tulsa has dropped their last seven games and they’re just awaiting the final whistle at this point. The Golden Hurricane are 1-16 in AAC play, with 0-11 on the road this season. Leading scorer Sam Griffin (15.2) has missed the last two games, and there’s a chance he may have just shut things down for the season. Sophomore forward Bryant Selebangue has been one of the best rebounders in the conference, and after double-doubling in six of the last ten games, he’s averaging 12.1 ppg and a team-leading 9.3 rpg.
