We have a Mid-American Conference NCAA Men’s Basketball game on Saturday evening between the Toledo Rockets and the Eastern Michigan Eagles taking place at the Convocation Center. The Rockets are 18-6 (9-2) so far and are riding an eight-game winning streak after coming off an 84-74 road win against the Akron Zips on Tuesday. The Eagles are a brutal 6-18 (3-8) currently and are on a two-game losing streak after coming off a 102-97 road loss on Tuesday against the Buffalo Bulls. These teams played already with the Rockets picking up an 84-79 home win on Jan. 24.
The Toledo Rockets have been doing an incredible job offensively this season as they are averaging 84.9 points while shooting an outstanding 48.8 percent from the field. They have been passing the ball at a good job this season with 15.3 assists per game so far. Junior guard Rayj Dennis has led the way for the Rockets as he is averaging 18.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, six assists, 0.3 blocks, 1.4 steals, and 1.9 turnovers in 33.9 minutes per game.

Their defense has been struggling as they are allowing 77.4 points per game up to this point. A big reason is the fact that they have not done well at forcing mistakes as they are averaging 2.9 blocks and 6.9 steals per game right now. If they can figure out how to defend better, they can continue to fight for the top of the conference.
