Texas State vs. Arkansas – Little Rock Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-6-2023

Former Sun Belt member Little Rock (10-21 SU, 6-12 Ohio Valley, 16-12-1 ATS) takes on current SBS member Texas State (16-19 SU, 6-12 SBC, 9-18-1 ATS) on Monday night from Strahan Arena in San Marcos, Texas at 8pmET.

Darrell Walker was a former standout college player at Arkansas and a longtime NBA player known for his defense. His Trojans struggled in their first season in the Ohio Valley Conference going 6-12. To make matters worse, there were flooding issues at their home arena, so they had to play in nearby North Little. Rock. Guard D.J. Smith (10.4ppg) left for Bowling Green so Little Rock will need to find some players to step up.

DeAntonio Gordon (13.7ppg, 5.7rpg) is one of two returning starters along with guard Jordan Jefferson (8ppg). Their biggest and most important newcomer is guard Khalen “KK” Robinson, a transfer from Texas A&M and Arkansas.

Last season, Little Rock allowed 79.4 points per game (354th) on 47.6% shooting (352nd) and 39.2% three-point shooting (359th). They ranked 351st in Adjusted Defensive Efficiency according to KenPom. Offensively, they averaged 75 .4 points per game on 44.3% shooting (32.6% 3pt).
