Texas A&M won for the 13th time in their last 15 games as they held off Arkansas at home Wednesday night in their previous contest. The Aggies ran their record to 19-7 overall and stand second in the SEC with an 11-2 record, leaving them just one game behind Alabama for the top spot. Against Arkansas, Texas A&M struggled on offense early, trailing 11-4 midway through the first half, and they were down nine at intermission. The Aggies still trailed by five midway through the second half and by two with 5:54 remaining before closing the game on an 11-3 run to earn the victory. Texas A&M shot 35.2% from the field, including six of 12 from three-point range, and hit 18 of 22 free throws while Arkansas was just seven of 14 in the game. Wade Taylor IV led the Aggies with 18 points and four assists in the win.

The Aggies score an average of 74.5 points per game this season coming int o this contest, putting them 119th in the nation in scoring offense. Texas A&M pulls down 37.1 rebounds per game on the year and dishes out 13.2 assists a night. The Aggies are 74th in the nation in scoring defense as they allow 66.1 points a night. Texas A&M is shooting 44.5% from the floor as a team. The Aggies splash 6.2 three-pointers a night but are connecting on 32.9% from beyond the arc. Obaseki broke his hand on January 4 against Florida and is expected to be out until late February.
