Pitt rolled to a 77-58 home win over Boston College in their previous contest Tuesday night, covering the line as a 9.5-point favorite. Virginia Tech was upended 77-70 on the road by Georgia Tech Tuesday night, losing outright as an 8.5-point favorite in their previous contest. In the all0time series between the teams, the Hokies own an 11-8 advantage and have won seven of the last eight meetings. That includes a 74-47 home win in the most recent matchup on February 7, 2022.

Pitt ran their win streak to six as they cruised past Boston College in their previous contest Tuesday night at home. The Panthers improved to 19-7 overall and stood tied with Virginia for the top spot in the ACC with a 12-3 mark in conference play. Against Boston College, Pitt led by five early, trailed by seven midway through the first half and reeled off a 23-7 run that put them in front 40-31 at intermission. The Panthers saw the lead trimmed to five early in the second half before reeling off a 21-2 run to take a 65-41 advantage with 9:02 remaining en route to the win. Pitt shot 43.3% from the floor, hit 11 of 25 three-point attempts, and won the rebounding battle 44-35 in the game. Blake Hinson led the Panthers with 21 points and seven rebounds in the win.

The Panthers average 75 points per game on the season, putting them 108th in the nation in scoring offense. Pitt pulls down an a verage of 37.4 rebounds per contest while dishing out 14.3 assists a night. The Panthers are above average on the defensive end of the floor, ranking 115th in the country by allowing 67.5 points a contest.
