St. Louis Blues vs. Buffalo Sabres Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 2-10-2024

The St. Louis Blues are heading to the KeyBank Center on Saturday afternoon to take on the Buffalo Sabres in non-conference action. The Blues (26-21-2, 54 points) are fourth in the Central Division and are coming off a 1-0 home loss against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Jan. 30. The Sabres (22-24-4, 48 points) are seventh in the Atlantic Division and are looking to bounce back after a 2-1 home loss on Tuesday against the Dallas Stars. This will be the second and final game against one another after the 6-4 home win by the Blues on Nov. 30.  



The St. Louis Blues has been a weaker offensive team as they are 25th in the league with 141 total goals scored. Center Robert Thomas is leading the offense with 52 points (17 goals, 35 assists) right now and has scored eight points in his last six games. In his previous game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, he did not record a point on one shot on 19:10 time on the ice. Their offense has been way below average in terms of power plays as they have scored on 22-of-145 (15.17 percent) of all their attempts up to this point.

 

Jordan Binnington is expected to be the starter inside the crease for this matchup and has been playing decently well so far. On the season, he is 17-13-2 with 2.92 goals given up and a .908 save percentage. He played well in his most recent game against the Blue Jackets as he allowed one goal on 22 shot attempts in the loss. The Blues have been a decent defensive team as their 153 goals allowed ranks 14th in the league. They are barely below average in terms of penalty kills as they have killed 101-of-129 (78.29 percent) of penalties against them.
