Phoenix Suns vs. Detroit Pistons Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 2-4-2023

The woeful Detroit Pistons will look to snag a rare win on Saturday as they host the Phoenix Suns. The Pistons have the worst record in the Eastern Conference while the Suns are treading water, hovering around .500. The Suns beat the Pistons back in November by the score of 108-102 at home, but the Pistons covered as a 12 point underdog. Tipoff is at 7:00 p.m. EST at Little Caesars Arenas in Detroit.

There was some hope at the start of the season that the Pistons could contend for at least a play-in spot, but those hopes went out the window when their best player, Cade Cunningham, went down with a season ending injury early on. Now, the Pistons sit in last place in the Eastern Conference and they are headed for another top lottery pick.

The Pistons have struggled on both ends of the floor. They average 112.6 points per game, which ranks 22nd in the NBA, and they give up a whopping 120.1 points per game, which ranks 29th in the NBA. In addition to Cunningham, Marvin Bagley is also out and he won't be back until after the all star break. Bojan Bogdanovich leads the Pistons averaging 21.4 points per game while Jaden Ivey averages 15.1 points and 4.5 assists per game.
