The Dodgers were the one division winner that did not appear to have any rust or start slow after multiple off days as they came out of the gates firing against Mike Clevinger. On top of the early run support, Julio Urias was excellent before handing it off to the bullpen, which shut down the Padres from there.

Tonight, we are in for a treat as two of the game’s best will take the mound. The first to take the ball will be Clayton Kershaw. While Kershaw is infamous for his postseason struggles, the Padres are a team he is very familiar with and has had extended success against. However, that familiarity could work both ways.

Opposing him for San Diego will be Yu Darvish. This season, Darvish was a dominant bulldog, and he pulled out his entire bag of tricks in the Wild Card Round series against the New York Mets. He kept one of the best lineups in baseball off balance all night, and he will need to repeat that performance if he wants to even up this series for his team.

Who will come out on top in this pitcher’s duel? Let’s take a closer look to find out.
