North Carolina went through all the handicapping phases in their last three games. They had a look-ahead loss at Georgia Tech on Jan. 30, falling 74-73 as a 9-point road favorite. They then took care of rival Duke 93-84 last Saturday at Chapel Hill. They followed that big win with a letdown rare home loss to Clemson 80-76 as a 6-point favorite. The Tar Heels shot just 37% from the field and 33% (9-of-27) from long range. Armando Bacot led UNC with 24 points and 13 boards, while guard R.J. Davis added 22 points. This was Clemson's second win in 62 tries in Chapel Hill and first since an overtime win in 2020.
