New York Islanders at Dallas Stars – 11/19/22 NHL Picks and Prediction

The New York Islanders and Dallas Stars face off on Saturday in an NHL showdown at the American Airlines Center. The home team has won the last four games played between the two teams.

The Islanders come into this game with an 11-7-0 record but they are coming off a loss in the last game. The Islanders gave up five goals against the Nashville Predators and that led to the one goal defeat. The Islanders scored two goals late but the comeback fell just short. The Islanders are averaging 3.39 goals per game while their defense is giving up 2.67 goals per game. Mathew Barzal hasn’t scored any goals so far this season, but he has put up 19 assists. Brock Nelson has scored nine goals and nine assists.

On the other side of this matchup is the Stars who sit with a 10-5-2 record overall and they have gone 4-2-0 at home. In the last game against Florida Panthers, the offense scored six goals and that was enough to win by two goals. Jamie Benn scored a goal and added an assist. Dallas is averaging 3.88 goals per game while their defense is giving up 2.77 goals per game. The offense is ranked second in the NHL. Jason Robertson is having a big season scoring 11 goals and adding 15 assists. Early in the season the expectation was the defense would be the strength, but it's clear this is also a very good offensive team.
