The Montréal Canadiens lost to the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday, 5-3. That was the fourth of a seven-game road trip that has seen Montréal go 2-1-1 through the first four games. The Canadiens are 8-5-3 on the road this season.

Carolina jumped out to a 2-0 lead only to see Montréal rally in the second half of the first period, scoring two goals to send the contest to the first intermission tied. Montréal trailed once again but tied the score on Josh Anderson’s sixth goal of the season just 25 seconds into the third. However, the Hurricanes scored two goals in the final six minutes to earn the victory. The goal for Anderson was his fifth in the last five games. Nick Suzuki did not record a point but has seven points over his last five. < /p>

Cayden Primeau (4-4-0, 3.30, .898) gave up four goals on 30 shots. Sam Montembeault (7-4-3, 2.86, .907) will likely get the start in this contest. The Canadiens are 23rd in goals-against average (3.35) and have really struggled killing penalties, 29th overall (72.9%).
