Montana at Gonzaga – 12/20/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Montana Grizzlies head over to Spokane and face the Gonzaga Bulldogs in non-conference action this Tuesday from the McCarthey Athletic Center on WCC. The Gonzaga/Montana series dates back to their time as rivals in the Big Sky Conference. This will mark this first time they face off since 2015, and the Bulldogs lead the head-to-head series 35-22.

Montana is 6-5 after defeating Prairie View A&M on the road. The Grizzlies followed a great week against Dakota up with their second road win of the season, defeating the Panthers by five points. Montana is scoring 67.8 points per game, while allowing 67.4 ppg, and shooting 45.3% from the field.

Josh Bannan leads the charge for Montana again this season. The 6’10 junior dropped an efficient 27 points in the win over NDSU, and he’s leading the Grizz in scoring (15.4), rebounding (9.1), and assists (3.2). Midwestern transfers Aanen Moody (Southern Utah) and Dischon Thomas (Colorado State) have found ways to compliment Bannan early. Moody, a 6’3 guard, has scored 20 points or more in three of the last five games and he’s second on the team in scoring at (15.1). Thomas, a 6’9 forward, is scoring 12.1 ppg, while grabbing 5.4 rpg.
