The Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils and the Eastern Washington Eagles will face off in the final round of the Rainbow Classic from the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu this Monday.

Mississippi Valley State has started the season 0-3 after dropping their first three games of the season Baylor, Hawaii and Yale. The Delta Devils were at the Bears mercy in the first official college basketball game of the 2021-22 season for the country, and they’ve suffered back-to-back defeats already in Honolulu in as many days. MVST is scoring just 53.3 points per game, while shooting 37.8% from the field, and 32% from deep. Terry Collins has been their best performer thus far, playing nearly all 40 minutes in all three contests, and leading the team with 12.5 ppg and 6.5 rpg..

Eastern Washington is off to an identical 0-3 start with losses to Santa Clara, Yale and Hawaii. The Eagles competed well with the Broncos, and even had a halftime lead against the Bulldogs, but they just haven’t been able to get into the win column yet this season. Eatern Washington is scoring 66.0 points per game, while shooting 41.4% from the field, and 26.1% from deep.
