Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Los Angeles Angels Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 7-16-2022

The battle of Los Angeles teams continues in Anaheim on Saturday. The Dodgers dominated the Angels 9-1 on Friday night.

The Dodgers have caught fire and look like the best team in the National League. At 59-30, they have they certainly have the best record in the NL, and have won 10 of their last 11. The Dodgers also have a +163 run differential which is the second best in MLB behind only the Yankees. Clayton Kershaw was dominant on Friday, carrying a perfect game into the eighth before he allowed his only hit. Kershaw got the win to improve to 7-2 this season and finished with eight shutout innings with six strikeouts.

The Dodgers bats went 6 for 15 with runners in scoring position on Saturday. They scored nine runs without any home runs but got four RBI from Justin Turner and two a piece from Freddie Freeman and Hanser Alberto.

Julio Urias will start on Saturday (7-6, 3.01 ERA). Urias is 4-4 with a 2.66 ERA in nine road games this season. He will be looking to rebuke some of his past demons against the Angels, as he is 0-1 with a 6.17 ERA in three career appearances against them.
