Georgia Tech dropped their second straight and their fifth in the last six games as they were walloped by Wake Forest at home Tuesday night. The Yellow Jackets fell to 10-13 overall and stood 13th in the ACC with a 3-9 mark in conference play. Against Wake Forest, Georgia Tech scored the game’s opening three points and proceeded to give up the next 23 points. The Yellow Jackets trailed 33-5 with 6:08 to play in the first half and the rout was on at that point. Georgia Tech trailed 46-20 at the half and by as many as 38 in the second half en route to the loss. The Yellow Jackets were limited to 28.3% shooting in the contest, including just three of 24 from beyond the arc, and lost the rebounding battle 42-31 in the game. Baye Ndongo led Georgia Tech with 14 points and six rebounds in the loss.
