Georgetown at DePaul – 12/29/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Georgetown Hoyas and DePaul Blue Demons face off on Thursday in a college basketball showdown at Wintrust Arena. In February it was DePaul that was able to secure the 68-65 victory over Georgetown. 

Georgetown comes into this game with a 5-8 record overall and they have gone 5-7 against the spread. In the last game against UConn they didn’t look awful, but they gave up 84 points and ended up losing by 11 points. Georgetown had five different players that put up at least 10 points. Georgetown is averaging 75 points while their defense is giving up 77.1 points per game. They are averaging 61.5 shots per game which is 67th best in college basketball. Primo Spears is averaging 17.7 points while shooting 44.8 percent from the field. 

On the other side of this matchup is DePaul who sits with a 6-7 record and they have gone 6-7 against the spread. In the last game against Creighton, DePaul gave up 80 points and they ended up losing by 15 points. Two games ago against Northwestern they were defeated 83-45. DePaul is averaging 72 points while their defense is giving up 75.5 points per game. The defense is ranked 323rd, and they need to find a way to play better defense, or this game is going to be a long game.
