Gabriel Davis projections 2022: Fantasy stats, betting odds, Buffalo Bills player profile, season outlook, simulations

One of the big “buzz” players of the fantasy football offseason was Bills wide receiver Gabriel Davis, coming off a tremendous eight catch, 201 yard, four touchdown performance in January's AFC Divisional Playoff loss vs. the Chiefs. With no Emmanuel Sanders around to challenge Davis for WR2 snaps in Buffalo, the Davis hype machine has been in full effect these last six months. And while he's playing with the league's MVP favorite, Josh Allen, there is also reason for skepticism when it comes to Davis' week-to-week consistency.

In two full seasons, Davis has yet to surpass 35 regular season catches and 600 yards. The 13 touchdowns in regular season 32 games are nice but the former Central Florida standout needs to incrementally up the weekly reception and yardage rates to be a consistent fantasy difference maker.'

With Buffalo's offense looking like a world beater in 2022, Davis is firmly on the fantasy radar. But it's too soon to automatically assume he's capable of an 80 catch, 1200 yard season. He's best served as a very good mid-round pick in Best Ball Leagues, a serviceable bottom WR2 in non-PPR leagues, and a high end / upside WR3 in PPR leagues. Davis is the prime definition of a weekly boom or bust player.
