Fanatics Sportsbook Set To Launch In Michigan On Feb. 22

Fanatics Sportsbook is set to make its entrance into Michigan on Thursday as it completes the transition of its mobile sports betting platform from PointsBet.

Licensed through the Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians, Fanatics Sportsbook will be entering one of the most mature markets in the United States as the Wolverine State has 14 betting apps. PointsBet has been in Michigan since the launch of online wagering in January 2021, one of 10 online operators to be part of the first simultaneous launch in the post-PASPA era.

PointsBet has totaled $394.8 million all-time handle in the Wolverine State through January and posted a solid 8.5% hold to collect $33.8 million in gross sports betting revenue. Michigan will be the second state where Fanatics Sportsbook has gone live this month — it began operations in Iowa on Feb. 6. Michigan, though, will have added importance for Fanatics Sportsbook as it will join Pennsylvania as the second state to offer both mobile sports betting and internet casino gaming.

As part of its entrance into Michigan, Fanatics Sportsbook is running a promotion in which new bettors can receive up to $1,000 in bonus bets. Fanatics Sportsbook will match however much bettors place for their first bet of the day up to $100 for 10 consecutive days with no promo code necessary.
