Elys says strengthening US dollar responsible for .4m Q2 revenue drop

Elys Game Technology has reported a 12% revenue drop for Q2, which the company predominantly attributed to currency fluctuations.

In total, Elys generated $10.3m in second quarter revenue, a $1.4m fall year-on-year from $11.7m. This was due, the company said, to the “strengthening of the US dollar against the euro.”

Since Elys’ revenue is primarily denominated in euros, this adversely affected the company’s top-line performance on a year-over-year basis.

Elys’ revenue was also impacted by the closure of its CTD locations in Italy during the prior-year period, though this was partially offset by online growth.
