The Edmonton Oilers lost to the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday, 3-1. That snapped the club’s franchise record 16-game winning streak. This will be the final contest of a three-game road trip, as the club is 13-10-0. Edmonton plays on Friday against Anaheim, but this preview was written prior to the conclusion of that contest.

Connor McDavid scored the first goal of the game, but Vegas responded with three unanswered goals to earn the victory. Leon Draisaitl had an assist in the contest, giving him seven over the last five games. The Oilers are fifth in goals per game (3.46) and third on the power-play (26.8%).

Stuart Skinner will likely start on Friday, so it will be Calvin Pickard (5-2-0, 2.34, .915) between the pipes on Saturday. Pickard has been very impressive of late, allowing two or fewer goals in each of his last three starts, allowing four total goals during that span. The Oilers are eighth in goals-against average (2.76) and fifth in penalty killing (83.2%).
