Duquesne vs. George Washington Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 2-4-2023

The George Washington Colonials (11-11, 5-4) will host the Duquesne Dukes (14-8, 4-5) in an Atlantic 10 matchup. Last season George Washington beat Duquesne 98-93 at home in overtime on March 2 and 73-52 on the road on February 16.

Duquesne is led by head coach Keith Dambrot who is in his sixth season with the program. Dambrot has a long career that also includes coaching LeBron James for two seasons at Akron St. Vincent St. Mary High School. Overall, Dambrot is 497-285 as a head coach at the college level and 85-79 at Duquesne.

The Dukes dropped to 1-5 in road games last Saturday with an 87-79 loss to UMass. Dae Dae Grant, a 6'2 transfer from Miami (Ohio) led the team with 23 points and 10 rebounds in the loss and led the squad with 15.4 ppg this season.

Duquesne is 123rd overall according to KenPom. They are 99th in adjusted offensive efficiency and 180th in defensive efficiency. The team shines, making 36.2% of their threes. They are also 46th in the country with a 1.27 assist-to-turnover ratio. The team is 12-10 against the spread and 11-11 to the over/under.
