The Wyoming Gaming Commission reported an all-time monthly high of $2.7 million in gross sports betting revenue for January, with DraftKings leading the way.
It was just the third time in 29 months that gross revenue surpassed $2 million, as the January total easily topped the previous record of $2.3 million last October. Handle eclipsed $20 million for just the second time, as the $20.3 million in accepted wagers ranked behind only the $21.2 million handled last October.
Handle was up 41.4% compared to the first month of 2023 and gross revenue spiked 67.7%, as the 13.1% hold was more than two full percentage points higher and ranked third all-time. The state was able to levy its 10% tax on $1.8 million in adjusted gross revenue, resulting in tax receipts totaling $177,183.
