The rookie posted a 7.78 ERA and a 1.78 in the minor leagues this season.
Colorado is at the beginning of a road trek in this one. They went a stellar 5-2 on a seven-game homestand including a series win against the Marlins and followed with two wins in three meetings against the Mets on the weekend. The bats are hot, collecting 23 runs in three games against a good Mets pitching staff highlighted by 11 runs in Sunday's victory.

Elias Diaz continues to shine at the plate, collecting three homers and a remarkable nine RBIs in his last nine games. The 32-year-old catcher is having the best season of his career, bashing six homers with 27 RBIs and a stellar .907 OPS. Diaz is 3 for 12 against the Diamondbacks this season. CJ Cron remains on the IL.
