The Flames are having a promising season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.10 goals per game with nine goals in the last two games. Nazem Kadri, Blake Coleman, and Yegor Sharangovich have scored 56 goals and 63 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has been great as well. Andrew Mangiapane, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Connor Zary have combined for 29 goals and 55 assists while defensemen MacKenzie Weegar and Noah Hanifin have added 21 goals and 36 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.04 goals per game. While Weegar and Hanifin have combined for 6.4 defensive point shares, the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net with ease. The bright spot has been the play of goaltender Jacob Markstrom who has a .914 save percentage and a 2.56 goals-against average on 915 shots with 9.1 goals saved above average.
