We expected the Predators to get off to a hot start to their season, and they delivered. After the Sharks tied things up at 1-1, Nashville never looked back. They scored 3 unanswered goals while goaltender Juuse Saros locked down their own net. They were able to do so without a single point from Roman Josi, who finished last season with 96 points. That was the most among any defenseman, and expecting him to not at least record an assist today would likely be a mistake.
