One of the most epic sights in baseball is when New York Mets closer Edwin Diaz makes his entrance to "Narco" by Australian musician Timmy Trumpet. In fact, it was just over a month ago that the trumpeter performed the song live for one of Diaz's entrances.
Well, an Atlanta Br aves fan has now used Timmy Trumpet's relationship with the Mets against them.
After Atlanta swept New York to claim the NL East lead over the weekend, the Braves fan released a troll video of the musician performing at Citi Field dubbed over with "Taps" – the iconic bugle call associated with military funeral ceremonies.

There's no simple way of putting it: the troll video is absolutely ice-cold. The Mets led the NL East for the majority of the season, but the Braves winning six of their last seven games against their rivals allowed them to take over the lead in the campaign's final days.
It's fitting to hear "Taps" playing over a Timmy Trumpet performance considering how New York led Atlanta by one game heading into the pivotal three-game series. While the Mets can still technically win the NL East if they win three in a row and the Braves lose three in a row, it certainly seems like Atlanta's sweep was a funeral for its rival's divisional hopes.
As exciting as the Braves-Mets rivalry can be, fans might have to wait a while to see the two teams face off again. Their only chances of meeting in the postseason would be in the NL Championship Series, since the division winner will get a bye to open the playoffs before facing the winner of the lower Wild Card bracket in the Division Series.
Nevertheless, Braves fans probably won't let their Mets counterparts forget about what happened this weekend if Atlanta goes on to win the NL East and/or a second straight World Series title.

Oddsmakers aren't giving New York much of a chance to rebound and win the division. FanDuel Sportsbook's MLB odds give Atlanta -10000 odds of winning the NL East, while New York is now +3000.
