On Tuesday night, the Bruins upended the Capitals 5-2 in their final home game of the regular season. The win wrapped up a 34-4-3 home record for Boston. Brad Marchand scored one of two power-play goals for the Bruins in the win as the team begins to turn its attention towards the upcoming playoffs.
“We're happy about it, don't get me wrong. But it's a regular-season record,” Marchand said. “Playoffs start and everything starts over again. There's going to be 16 teams that have the same goal in mind and what we've accomplished so far has no bearing on that.”

Be wary of the Bruins' lineup on Thursday night against the Canadiens. Boston has clinched every major milestone and will certainly be resting key personnel in this final tuneup before the playoffs. Captain Patrice Bergeron will likely be rested as well as #1 defenseman Charlie McAvoy, who has been banged up recently. C David Krecji will also be out of action and head coach Jim Montgomery may turn to Keith Kinkaid in net for at least part of the game to keep his top two goaltenders healthy.
