Drexel (9-7 SU, 6-10 ATS) takes on Stony Brook (6-10 SU, 8-6 ATS) for the first time since the Seawolves joined the CAA. This game will be played on Long Island from Island Federal Credit Union Arena on Thursday at 7pmET.

Drexel is 1-3 on the road this season and is 7-2 at home. According to KenPom, they are 177th and they have a strength of schedule of 328. In the CAA, they are 3-1, which places them in third place, tied with Hofstra. It's very early for the Dragons, who have not played any of the top CAA teams aside from Towson, who beat them 64-58 on Jan. 5 at home. Drexel bounced back in a big way against lowly Monmouth (1-15), crushing them 67-35 last Saturday.

The Monmouth win was a dominant defensive performance by the Dragons, who held the Hawks to just 14 points in the first half. Center Amari Williams (6-10, 240) led the way with 13 points and eight rebounds in just 17 minutes. Drexel held Monmouth to just 27% shooting and 2-of-12 from beyond the arc.

Drexel is now 9-0 when holding its opponents to under 60 points and they've held two to under 40 points. Williams leads the Dragons with 14 points per game and 8.5 rebounds with 2.2 blocks. Guard Coletrane Washington adds 11.1 points but is shooting just 38% from the field and 33.7% from beyond the arc.  This is a squad that has to win with defense because they are shooting just 41.7% (312) from the field and 31.7% (287) from beyond the arc. They also don't help themselves by shooting 66.7% from the line (300th). Defensively, they are holding teams to just 59.4 points per game (14th) on 41.8% shooting (32% 3pt).
