Once Upon A Time In Las Vegas

Two teams heading in different directions face off in a Mountain West Conference affair with a cold Wyoming team hosting a hot San Diego State squad.

San Diego State has won four in a row and they one of three MWC teams that does not have a conference loss (2-0). They are 11-3 on the season and two of their three losses have come facing teams ranked in the top 15.

While Wyoming nearly beat a ranked team in their last game, they have still lost four in a row. They are 5-9, overall, 0-2 in MWC play, and in their last 10 games they only have two wins. This is the Cowboys first game of the season facing the Aztecs, who they lost to at home last season in the lone matchup.

In their last game San Diego State was on the road and they beat UNLV 76-67 in a strong defensive effort. While they had 20 turnovers, they shot a solid 45.1% from the floor and played great D holding the Rebels to 36.7% shooting and 27.8% (10-36) 3-pt shooting. Only two players for the Aztecs scored in double figures but each had big games with Matt Bradley with 23 points and Darrion Trammell going for 21 points.

SDSU covered the spread as a 4-point favorite and they had failed to cover in the previous two games.

Trammell (13.2 ppg) and Bradley (12.9 ppg) are the only two players for the team that are averaging over 8.2 ppg. Trammell only scored four points in the game before the last one but he has scored at least 14 points in three of the last four games.
