San Diego will be looking to build on its overtime win against UC Riverside when it travels to Cal State Northridge on Thursday afternoon. The Toreros bounced back from their loss to Arizona State by springing a 92-84 upset over UC Riverside as 6-point underdogs. CS Northridge is still seeking its first win over a Division I opponent this season.
San Diego got off to a strong start this season, winning three consecutive games to open its campaign. The Toreros have not recorded consecutive wins since then, but they have a chance to snap that streak on Thursday night. They had lost three out of four games prior to their 92-84 win over UC Riverside in overtime on Tuesday. It was nearly a shocking collapse from San Diego, which led by nine points with 1:25 remaining. The Highlanders scored 11 of the next 13 points to tie the game in the final seconds, but San Diego was able to respond in overtime.
A huge road win behind some huge performances for @usdmbb.

The Toreros have been an excellent offensive team this season, ranked No. 59 in KenPom’s adjusted efficiency ratings. Their strength has been their low turnover rate and their outside shooting, as they rank No. 15 nationally in turnover rate and are knocking down 39.4% of their 3-point attempts. They have not been nearly as good from 2-point range, where they are shooting 47.4%. San Diego is facing a CS Northridge defense that is No. 300 in adjusted efficiency. Senior guard Eric Williams Jr. leads San Diego with 15.6 points and 10.7 rebounds per game, while senior guard Jase Townsend is adding 15.2 points.
