The Wofford Terriers will head up to Greensboro to meet the UNCG Spartans in SoCon play on ESPN+. Wofford leads the head-to-head series, 27-19, but UNCG did win the first meeting of the season back in December.
Wofford dropped to 13-13 after losing to Western Carolina at home. The Terriers and Catamounts needed overtime to decide a winner, and WCU would walk away with the four-point win. Wofford is scoring 74.5 points per game, while allowing 71.5 ppg, and shooting 47.2% from the field.
Wofford has lost their last three games, and come into an uphill battle here in Greensboro. The Terriers are 5-8 in SoCon play, with a 3-9 road record. Wofford plays through big man B.J. Mack again this season. The 6’8 senior scored 22 points against Western Carolina last time out, and he leads the Terriers in scoring (15.7), while grabbing 5.3 rpg. Freshman guard Jackson Paveletzke closed January with three 20-point performances, and he’s now up to 14.6 ppg, and a team-lead 3.8 apg.
