Week 11 Browns-Bills game moved to Detroit: What does that mean for my bets?

With Buffalo currently experiencing “Snowvember”, the Week 11 game between the Browns and Bills has been moved to 4:15 p.m. ET in Detroit on Sunday. There is a huge difference between Ford Field and outdoor Highmark Stadium, so all of the under bets that came in early in the week are now in question.

Each sportsbook has its own House Rules that it will follow in these situations where the venue changes. Given the enormous line move in this game, with the total dropping several points from from 47.5 to 42, it could cause bettors to lose some big closing line value, but it could also force bettors to be on the total at a bad number.

The total for this game has been re-posted at 48.5. The total had moved from 47.5 to 42 based on the forecast. Those that got in early at 47.5 or 47 aren't that far off from the market now. Those that got lower numbers are going to be looking very closely at the House Rules across the market.

Here’s what some popular sportsbooks say about venue changes and a potential day change (be sure to check the specific rules wherever you placed the bet).
