Washington State at Baylor – 12/18/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Washington State Cougars and Baylor Bears face off on Sunday in a college basketball showdown at the American Airlines Center. When these two teams faced off in 2010 it was Washington State that secured the 77-61 victory. 

Washington State comes into this game with a 4-5 record and they have gone 4-5 against the spread here. In the last game against UNLV, Washington State scored 70 points, but the defense gave up 74 points, and they lost. Three games ago against Utah, they lost 67-65. There have been some close losses that have really hurt this team's record. Washington State is averaging 71.6 points while their defense is giving up 63.8 points per game. TJ Bamba is averaging 16.7 points while shooting 50.5 percent and 48.8 percent from behind the three-point line. 

On the other side of this matchup is Baylor who sits with a 7-2 record and they have gone 5-4 against the spread. In the last game against Tarleton State the defense only gave up 57 points and that led to the blowout victory. Keyonte George had a big game for Baylor scoring 22 points, grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out six assists. Baylor is averaging 84.6 points while their defense is giving up 69.1 points per game. At times the defense hasn’t been good enough. Guard LJ Cryer has been the top player averaging 16.5 points while shooting 48.1 percent from the field and 38.2 percent from behind the three point line.
