Utah Jazz vs. Los Angeles Lakers Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 4-9-2023

Utah Jazz (36-44) vs. Los Angeles Lakers (42-39)

The 2022-23 NBA regular season wraps up Sunday, April 9, with the Western Conference showdown at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, so we have prepared the best Jazz vs. Lakers betting pick.

Utah hopes to clinch a four-game regular-season series against Purple-and-Gold. The Jazz have won their first two dates with the Lakers this season, 130-116 and 139-116, but they suffered a tough 135-133 overtime loss to Los Angeles on April 4.

Saturday’s games have been excluded from this preview, and the 36-44 Utah Jazz hosted the Denver Nuggets, looking to snap their four-game skid. The Jazz have only won one of their previous nine games at any location while going 5-4 against the number.

Over their last four outings, the Jazz have lost to the Boston Celtics 122-114, Brooklyn Nets 111-110, Los Angeles Lakers 135-133 in overtime, and Oklahoma City Thunder 114-98. They’ve dropped four of their previous five road contests, beating the hapless San Antonio Spurs 128-117 in the process.

Utah entered Saturday’s clash against Denver without seven players, including Lauri Markkanen (25.6 PPG, 8.6 RPG this season), Jordan Clarkson (20.8 PPG, 4.4 APG), Walker Kessler (9.2 PPG, 8.4 RPG), and Collin Sexton (14.3 PPG). The Jazz’s season is over, so they can take a closer look at some of their fringe players.
