Aspinall vs Tybur a Prediction
It's almost been exactly one year since Tom Aspinall suffered a devastating knee injury in London. He now returns to his home country, hoping to pick up from where he left off. Before his unfortunate loss, Aspinall had finished eight consecutive opponents with seven of those victories occurring in the first round.
Meanwhile, Marcin Tybura has done well at building himself up over the years. The former -1 Heavyweight Champion has made some noise with seven victories in his previous eight fights. He didn't let the lone loss during that stretch bring him down, following it up with back-to-back wins over Alexander Romanov and Blagoy Ivanov.
Even with the one-year layoff, I'm taking Aspinall to win this fight. It's important to remember how much of a beast he was before his freak accident against Curtis Blaydes and he's only 30 years old, meaning he's more than young enough to get back to that level.
Tybura has been impressive, but he hasn't taken on a fighter as dangerous as Aspinall just yet. The Englishman averages 7.41 significant strikes per minute (nearly four more than Tybura) with 65% accuracy, giving him all the tools he needs to win this weekend.
Aspinall vs Tybura Best Bet
I have no issue taking Aspinall to win by KO/TKO (-150) in London. Six of his last nine fights have ended with Aspinall standing tall via knockout and he has the opportunity to continue that trend with Tybura having been knocked out four times over his career.
At the end of the day, Tybura won't be able to keep up with Aspinall's endless onslaught. Eventually, the door will open for the heavy favorite to finish things off.
