Steelers vs Dolphins Prediction, Odds & Best Bet for Week 7

Week 7 of the 2022 NFL season is here, bringing a few exciting matchups. The AFC is in action with a few enticing tilts, including a Sunday Night Football showdown between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Miami Dolphins. The Steelers snapped a four-game losing streak with a win last week, while the Dolphins hope to put an end to their three-game skid.

Can the Steelers win their first game in Miami since 2010? Or will the Dolphins be too tough to handle with the return of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa?

Steelers vs Dolphins Odds

According to FanDuel Sportsbook's'NFL odds, the Dolphins are a clear -355 favorite on the moneyline (7.5-point spread) in a game with an over/under of 44.5.

What should NFL fans expect in this matchup, and where can bettors find value?

Steelers vs Dolphins Prediction and Best Bet

While some fans might be excited to back the Steelers after their win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, expectations should be tempered. After all, Pittsburgh has one of the NFL's worst offenses this year, having been held to 20 or fewer points in each of its last five games.

Though the Dolphins haven't been perfect, a lot of their shortcomings are due to Tagovailoa's absence. The team was 3-0 in the 24-year-old's three completed starts this season and his return should bring more stability than what Teddy Bridgewater and Skylar Thompson offered.

Sure, the Steelers may have won seven of their last nine games against the Dolphins, but that was from a different era. Ben Roethlisberger isn't around to terrorize Miami anymore. Instead, Pittsburgh owns an offense that's tied for the seventh-most turnovers (9) this season.

The Dolphins' defense hasn't produced many turnovers, but they should manage to create opportunities, regardless if it's Mitchell Trubisky or rookie Kenny Pickett under center. Throw in the fact that Miami is 8-1 straight up in its last nine home games and it's easy to see why this is the Dolphins' game to lose.

With the Steelers' offense being a mess, I'll take the Dolphins at -7.5 on the spread. I'm also backing the total hitting under 44.5 points considering how the total has hit the under in 11 of Miami's last 16 games, as well as in five of the Steelers' last seven road games against the Dolphins.
