The fact that the Giants enter this matchup as the underdog despite having a superior record is somewhat disrespectful. New York has defied all expectations this year and while Brian Daboll's club hasn't been perfect, Jacksonville has been far from consistent in recent weeks.
For example, the Jaguars were held to just six points against the Houston Texans two weeks ago. Although the offense was more plentiful last week against the Indianapolis Colts, the Jags still managed to blow four different leads in the loss, including three that ranged from seven to 11 points.
The Giants' wideout room might be shorthanded, but Darius Slayton and Wan'Dale Robinson are both talented weapons. That's not even to mention how running back Saquon Barkley has 155 receiving yards on 21 catches and should have a lot of fun against a Jags defense that's given up the second-most receptions and receiving yards to RBs this season.
The Jaguars' recent losing skid makes it tough to trust them. So does the fact that they're 3-11 against the spread in their last 14 games, as well as being 0-5 ATS in their last five outings against the NFC East.
