In 2022, the Mariners reached the postseason for the first time since 2001 and were able to win their opening series on Wildcard Weekend against the Blue Jays. The Mariners stumbled a bit out of the gate this season, losing four straight games before winning two of three games heading into this weekend. The Mariners are hitting .229 as a team heading into Saturday night's game. On Saturday night, Eugenio Suarez drove in two runs and starter Marco Gonzalez gave up just one run in 5.2 innings in a 3-2 Seattle win.

George Kirby makes his second start of the season for the Mariners. Kirby was roughed up by the Angels in his first start, allowing four runs on nine hits in just 4.1 innings of work. On the road in 2022, Kirby made 12 starts on the road last year and went 5-2 with a 3.52 ERA in his rookie season. Kirby faced the Guardians once last year, allowing three hits and one run in just three innings of work.

Key Injuries: OF's Taylor Trammell and Dylan Moore are out along with SP Robbie Ray.
