Jaden Schwartz, Matthew Beniers, and Andre Burakovsky have scored 13 goals and 15 assists to lead the top two lines but the entire offense has stepped up to start the season. Jared McCann, Jordan Eberle, and Oliver Bjorkstrand have combined for seven goals and 15 assists while defenseman Vince Dunn has added a goal and six assists from the point to help open up the offense.
The offense has stepped up but the defense has been awful this season, allowing 3.45 goals per game. Adam Larsson and Carson Soucy have combined for 1.6 defensive point shares and 31 blocked shots but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to generate shots on the net with ease. Furthermore, goaltender Joey Daccord hopes to improve after he allowed four goals on 40 sho ts in his first start of the season.
