Monday night features the struggling New York Giants taking on the surging Seattle Seahawks. New York currently sits at 1-2 and are coming off of a 30-12 loss against the San Francisco 49ers in another primetime matchup.

Seattle is 2-1 on the young season and has won its last two games. The Seahawks are currently chasing the 49ers for the top spot in the NFC West.

Seattle enters this contest scoring an average of 29 points per game. They started the season with a 13-point performance against the Los Angeles Rams. However, they followed it up with back-to-back games of at least 30 points. Last week, they crossed the 20-point threshold first in their game against Carolina. The Seahawks have won this race in four of their last five meetings with the Giants.

In contrast, New York has averaged just 14.3 points per game to start the season. The Giants have scored at least 20 points just once in their three games so far. Even in that game, they allowed the Arizona Cardinals to jump out to a 20-0 lead. New York has not scored 20 points against Seattle in any of their last five attempts.

The Seahawks are closing games out strong, averaging nine points per game in the fourth quarter. Seattle is the fifth best team in the league in that category. They have outscored their opponents in the last quarter in each of their last two games. However, last week was the only contest in which they covered this spread.

Meanwhile, New York comes into this game averaging 5.7 points per game in the final 15 minutes. Their comeback win against the Cardinals represents the only time the Giants have tallied more points than their opponents in the four th quarter this season. New York has been unsuccessful in outscoring Seattle in the final frame in their last seven matchups. 

DraftKings has lowered this threshold to -0.5 in favor of the Seahawks, but has taken the odds down to +105 to match.

Bobby Wagner has racked up 33 total tackles over the first three games of the season. He ranks fifth in the league in that category. The tenured linebacker has gone Over this total in two of those three games this year. Last week, he fell just three tackles short of this mark. On top of that, he has at least eight total tackles in two of his career matchups against the Giants.
