San Francisco at UNLV – 12/17/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The San Francisco Dons and UNLV Runnin’ Rebels face off on Saturday in a college basketball showdown at the Thomas & Mack Center. When these two teams faced off in 2021 it was San Francisco that secured the 83-62 victory.

San Francisco comes into this game with an 8-3 record overall and they have gone 4-6 against the spread. In the last game against New Mexico, they were competitive but ended up only scoring 64 points, and ended up losing by three points. Two games ago against Merrimack, they were able to secure a 69-51 victory. The Dons are averaging 74 points while their defense is giving up 67.7 points per game. The offense and defense are both ranked 155th in college basketball. Khalil Shabazz is averaging 14.3 points while shooting 42.4 percent from the field and 32.3 percent from behind the three-point line. There are three different players that are averaging at least 11.2 points per game.

On the other side of this matchup is UNLV who sits with a 10-0 record and they have gone 6-3 against the spread. In the last game against Washington State, UNLV scored 74 points and that was enough to secure the 4 point victory. Two games ago against Hawaii, UNLV was able to secure a 77-62 victory. UNLV is averaging 79.1 points while their defense is giving up 61.4 points per game. Keshon Gilbert has been the top player for UNLV averaging 15.5 points while shooting 53.8 percent from the field and 56.7 percent from behind the three-point line. In this game I would expect UNLV is going to try and push the pace.
