San Diego State at UNLV – 12/31/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The San Diego State Aztecs will head to Vegas and face the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels this weekend from the Thomas & Mack Center on CBS. UNLV and San Diego State has become one of the bigger matchups in the conference over the past decade. SDSU leads the all-time series 38-35 after winning three matchups in a row.

San Diego State improved to 10-3 after defeating Air Force at home. The Aztecs opened MWC play on a strong note, bottling up the Falcons, and picking up their third straight double-digit win. SDSU is scoring 75.2 points per game, while allowing 64.6 ppg, and shooting 45.6% from the floor.

SDSU looks very strong again defensively this season. The Aztecs have held five of their last six opponents below the 60-point mark, and they should be threats in the MWC again this season. Seattle transfer Darrion Trammell leads the team in scoring and assists after the first third of the season at 2.6 ppg and 3.8 apg. Veteran guard Matt Bradley caught fire versus Air Force, going for a season-high 27 points to bring his season average to 12.2 ppg.
