ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday afternoon that Colts special teamer Isaiah Rodgers and “a handful” of other NFL players are set to receive season-long suspensions this week for alleged sports betting offenses.
Rodgers had been under investigation for placing “hundreds of wagers” on the NFL, including some on his own team. It's unclear whether he bet for or against the Colts.
The sixth-round draft pick from the 2020 NFL Draft has played in 45 career games as a cornerback and returner, including nine starts in 2022.
Rodgers said in a tweet earlier this month that he was “willing to do whatever it takes to repair the situation.”
