Penn vs. Missouri Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-11-2022

Missouri welcomes Pennsylvania for a non-conference matchup on Friday, Nov. 11. The Tigers began their season with a close win over a newcomer to NCAA Division I basketball. The Quakers dropped their first game of the season to Iona. These two teams will tip off at 8 P.M. EST.

The Quakers started off their new season with a 78-50 away loss to Iona on Monday, Nov. 7. Penn were led in scoring by Jordan Dingle. The junior guard finished with 16 points 4-of-14 shooting . He also went 0-for-7 from being the 3-point line. He was able to get to the free throw line where he ended with going 8-for-9 from the stripe. 

Sophomore guard George Smith scored the second most points for Penn. He finished with 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting. Penn shot only 32.7% from the field and only made 3-of-25 from behind the 3-point line against Iona. The Quakers biggest lead was six points, but 18 turnovers by Penn allowed the Gaels to find their footing and come away with the win. Iona ripped off a 37-4 run to take a commanding lead on Penn. 

“It was a good environment for college basketball. I think it’s a fun place. … I thought it got the best of us during that run in the first half,” Penn coach Steve Donahue said.
