The Nittany Lions are led by Clary, who averages 19.1 points and shoots 48.5% from the field (36.8%). The 5-11 sophomore averaged just 3.7 points last season. He probably likes the faster tempo (43rd in Adjusted Tempo compared to 320th last year) with new coach Mike Rhoades taking over from VCU. Rhoades also brought Baldwin Jr. with him from VCU. The guard adds 13.2 points and 4.9 assists with 2.9 steals per game. Overall, the offense averages 76.9 points per game on 43.8% shooting (234th) and 30.3% (317th) from three-point range. Defensively it can be a struggle as Penn State allows 74.1 points per game on 45.8% shooting (315th) and 33.1% from beyond the arc. They also struggle on the boards where they rank 335th in rebound margin (-6.0).
